I think cheesecake is a cake as the name implies, but I know a few people who say it is a pie....It's a good debate topic.

Maybe a compromise is in order and just call it a pike....half cake half pie, but no matter what you call it, it tastes damn fine....

i will say a cheese cake is a pie.. Because as the name implies its a cake but there really is no cheese either.. so the name is the exact opposite to what it really is
